Upminster Bowls Club runs regular taster sessions for anyone who would like to try playing bowls and find out about the game. No experience is required and club members will be around to help you and to chat about the game and membership of our club. If you are interested just contact one of the club secretaries – We look forward to seeing you sometime in 2017!
Roll ups happen on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays at 2.00pm and Sundays at 10.30am. They give members the opportunity to play and gain experience in different positions – Just turn up!

This Bowls Club in Upminster is affiliated to Bowls England and the Essex County Bowling Association (both Men's and Ladies' sections) and also to various local associations which enable Club members to enter local, County and National competitions.
The Club's Men's section currently plays in the Romford Bowling Association and the Brentwood and District Bowling Association Triples Leagues in Essex which are played in the evening. There is also an afternoon League, the Clockhouse Trophy, for retired gentlemen over the age of 60. The Ladies' section plays in the Gidea Park afternoon League and also in the Hartswood Evening League. Both Men and Ladies take part in individual County and National competitions. Finally, both sections arrange friendly matches against local clubs in Essex throughout the season. There are also a number of individual competitions and Mixed Matches/Drives organised within the Bowls Club.
